painting in the winter

first try, inspired by a concert I attended I’ve been taking a painting class at the cultural arts center in my town this winter. It was a decent class. Mostly it just gave me three hours every Saturday to sit and try to paint.

So this is what I came up with at the end of the class (after doing color wheels, sketches, quick paintings, etc)…

I didn’t like it. But I did love that pink color. So I’m reworking it… and here below is the painting with more pink back in. Still more to go…

a new try

note of thanks

just a quick note saying thank you for being here and reading. I wade through the web daily, read blogs, and learn about others. however, I hope the web in some way can draw us together in ways we couldn't maybe have before. so... read, leave a comment, start a discussion. hopefully we can meet off the web in person or start a relationship that never would have existed otherwise. this is just my three cents! thanks.

You’re hired… you can paint a mural in every room in our house, Miss Talent Pants.

I love your use of complimentary color and undefined lines. Gorgeous!

Thanks Creighton… well… sorry you like it so much cause the bottom image is what I covered up the top image with. I’m still working on it.

But since it no longer exists… the digital image above is one of a kind, never to be taken again. Probably priceless then, huh?

I’m gonna post more of my recent work here sometime soon.

:)
